Ethel F. Donaghue Award
We believe Miss Donaghue would be delighted to know that an award was created this year in her name to recognize an individual or organization for long-time service to the Elizabeth Park Conservancy. The Elizabeth Park Conservancy (used to be named Friends of Elizabeth Park) developed the award in the spirit of Ethel Donaghue, whose trust to support Elizabeth Park has helped to improve the park for the thousands of people who visit it each year. The inaugural award winner was Lisa Silvestri, former president of the board for the Friends of Elizabeth Park and a long-time champion of the park.
